Attorney Brian D. Perskin

Brian D. Perskin concentrates his practice on complex family and matrimonial law settlements and litigation, including the negotiation and preparation of marital settlements, joint parenting plans, the equitable distribution of assets, matters of custody, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. An experienced litigator, Mr. Perskin represents individuals in contested trials and appeals on a wide range of issues, from valuation and distribution of assets to child custody and visitation matters.

Mr. Perskin has developed one of the largest matrimonial practices in the New York City area and is well respected amongst both his peers and Judges as an aggressive advocate for men and women.

Mr. Perskin is committed to the advancement of legal knowledge, and speaks frequently on issues relating to matrimonial and family law. Recent talks have included the successful use of depositions in matrimonial proceedings and the analysis of custody evaluations, as well as how Judge's really view equitable distribution and the valuations of closely held businesses and enhanced earnings. Mr. Perskin is also a regular contributor to a variety of divorce and family law blogs and has written on topics such as divorce strategy, equitable distribution, father's rights, custody rights of non-parents, pension-fund assets, and attorneys' fees.

Senior Associate Attorney Evan S. Seckular

Evan S. Seckular was born on Long Island and raised in Scarsdale, New York. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in International Relations with minors in both Economics and Spanish. Evan obtained his Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and gained admission to the New York State Bar thereafter. Evan is married and lives in New York, New York.


Associate Attorney Susannah L. Ashton

Susannah L. Ashton was raised in Los Gatos, California. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2005, with a degree in Psychology with a focus on abused children. Susannah obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2009, and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2010. Prior to joining Brian D. Perskin & Associates, Susannah worked as an attorney for a non-profit organization representing the rights of youth who have been abused, neglected, are homeless, and/or are in the juvenile justice system. Susannah resides in Brooklyn, New York.
